Due to the collapse of a section of the Mt. Gassan trail from/to the Yudonosan entrance caused by snowmelt damage, that part of the hiking trail remains unavailable until July 18th (included).

However, current repair works aim to have the trail open again from Saturday, July 19, allowing climbers to access the summit of Mt. Gassan safely. Works to make this hiking trail operational have started on July 16.

We kindly ask all visitors planning to climb Mt. Gassan to use this alternative route and refrain from entering the closed areas for their own safety.
