Schedule
08:30 – Gathering at Mt. Yudono's parking lot (Yudonosan Senninzawa)

Spot the pilgrim lodge called Yudonosan Sanrojo for your orientation

Explanation of the Dewa Sanzan spiritual path and Mt. Yudono’s significance

Clothing change into white ritual garments for the waterfall training
09:00 – Walk to the Waterfall Site (Ontaki 御滝)

Guided walk through the paved road to the entrance to the river for sawagake お沢駆け (river crossing)

Pray to the sacred steles on the way

Arrival at the secluded waterfall purification site
10:20 – Waterfall Purification Ritual

Ritual incantations and preparation

Individual entry under the waterfall (optional but encouraged)
11:00 – Going to the Yudonosan-jinja shrine

Dry yourself with your priorly prepared towels

Climb up the ladders to gather at the Yudonosan-jinja shrine
