Interpreted Yamabushi-guided visit of Mt. Haguro Put on the "oizuri" pilgrim vest, meet with your English interpreter and follow the lead of a Yamabushi priest from Mt. Haguro

Tour Details

 

This private tour can begin anytime between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

Meet your Yamabushi priest at a shukubo (pilgrim lodge).
The exact address will be provided later, depending on the availability of the Yamabushi guides.
You will also meet your interpreter there.

Tour Flow:

  1. Put on the traditional oizuri pilgrim vest.

  2. Receive guidance and instructions from the Yamabushi.

  3. Follow him on a hike up Mt. Haguro (approximately 1 hour, moderate cardio level).

  4. Take part in a short prayer in front of the Dewa Sanzan Shrine.

  5. End of the experience.

Total duration: about 2 hours

Available season: From April to early December

This activity requires a moderate fitness level (2446 stone steps, steep ascent). There are unfortunately no arrangements for low-mobility persons.

The price for this activity only applies to groups of 2 persons or more
